Fran + Rich, September 2022, The Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey, North Yorkshire

Fran and Rich’s wedding was what’s called a ‘micro-wedding’ in terms of flowers and consisted of Fran’s bouquet, four bridesmaids, 9 button holes and fresh petal confetti.

The colour palette was whites and greens, to make this theme work well I used plenty of textures and locally sourced flowers to create an elegant and romantic bouquet for Fran. Most of the time bridesmaids are a smaller version of the bridal bouquet, but Fran was after something different for her girls that incorporated daisies which was a lovely idea. As well as the daisies I used dill, scabious, dahlia and cosmos so there was still a link to Fran’s but with enough daisies to make them stand out.

I provided a vase for Fran’s bouquet and jam jars for the bridesmaids so they could be used on the top table after the ceremony. Fresh white rose petals were used as confetti.

“Sophie was a total start from start to finish. She guided me through the process very clearly and was there to answer all my questions. As no florist myself she made excellent suggestions to bring my mood board to life and created the best possible outcome for the big day. I wanted them to look unique and she truly made that happen. She ensured all flowers and buttonholes were delivered safely and timely on the day. They were just perfect, thank you Sophie!” Fran & Rich
