curating your story

I believe that flowers tell a story, for me they are memories of blooms growing in my grandparents garden, the earthiness of the greenhouse, watching those seedlings grow into leggy blooms, bees buzzing, butterflies fluttering and the heady scent of garden roses.

This is the essence of The Prettiest Posy, evoking new memories through colour and composition, together with my styling experience and passion for pretty colours, whether it’s a myriad of ice-cream shades, faded tones or the beautiful simplicity of white blousy textures.

My floral style is luxurious with more ‘bloom’ than ‘bulk’ – who would say no to extra blousy stems? I only use minimal foliage in bouquets, though you’ll see it pop up more in other elements like meadow aisles, arches and pew ends. Oh-so-pretty blooms is The Prettiest Posy signature style and I specialise in those individual touches teamed with stunning colour and textures. Each bouquet will be finished with organic cotton, silk or velvet ribbons that will perfectly match your colour scheme.

Let’s create your memories

No one can imagine a wedding without flowers, and they are one of the most crucial elements in defining the heart and soul of your day. Whether a wedding is a relaxed country affair or a formal castle celebration, it’s the flowers that set the tone. Your flowers are the expression of your colour palette, create the atmosphere you dream of and provide the scent that will remind you of your day every time you walk through a garden. I have the intuitive know-how to translate your vision for your wedding into flowers; together we’ll compose the most wonderful and magical feeling for your day that will last in your own and your guests’ memories forever.

So how does it work? Well, if you’re interested in becoming a ‘Prettiest Posy’ bride then fill out the contact form below. From there, we can have a zoom or in-person chat about what your floral vision is for your wedding and discuss what wedding flowers you’d like to have. Then, I will create a detailed proposal and email it to you with a Pinterest moodboard to inspire you. Once the quote is accepted, it’s time to book your date and we can start on our creative journey together, where I can bring your wedding florals to life for your big day.

After seeing her style of floral arrangement on Instagram I just loved it and knew it would be perfect for our wedding. Despite moving our wedding twice due to Covid, Sophie was so accommodating and flexible. We had a few coffee meets to discuss what we wanted in terms of colour schemes/styles and Sophie brought some great ideas.

On the day Sophie and her team made it so seamless and easy, arriving on time with the most gorgeous bouquets I’ve ever seen - they were absolutely perfect! We also had flowers on our tables, in the ceremony and also on our cake (again they were all exactly what we had imagined).

We had so many compliments on the flowers and it really helped make our day truly special

— Emma Fee, bride.

Sustainability

Traditionally, floristry has used a lot of floral foam which is pretty much the most dreadful substance you use for the environment. At The Prettiest Posy I only use chicken wire to create installations, I use recycled packaging where possible and during the flower farm season which runs from April to October in the UK, I use as many locally grown flowers as I can. After your wedding I can come back in the evening or next morning and repurpose the flowers into bunches to gift to your guests so they can bring further joy for a long period of time.

*Please note, because of wanting to give my brides the utmost creative care and attention to detail, I am only taking on ten weddings in 2024.
